Cisco Netriders IT Skills Challenge
is an online Networking Technology competition on the knowledge level of CCNA, CCENT and IT Essentials.
There are 3 competition rounds, participating countries of a region share competition dates. A certain number of winners of the International NetRiders competition from all around the World are being invited to a study Trip to the Cisco Headquarters in San Jose, California.
Why should I engage in NetRiders?
When searching for a job today, employers are looking for more in people than having a degree from a good school or university. Companies are looking for young talents with ideas and courage to engage in complex environments, first experiences in projects are required. At best in an international context. NetRiders is your opportunity to add this to your resume.

NetRiders competitions are held online, you can participate from everywhere.
How to register?
To register you need a so-called “enrollment key” from your course instructor.

Who is eligible to participate?
You need to be a Cisco Networking Academy Student
- with the minimum age for each level of the competition and
- are registered in a Cisco Networking Academy Course or were in the last months in your country.
What is the competition about?
The competition consists of a theoretical part with questions and a Packet Tracer Activity.
During the registration phase you will find a Practice Test which allows you to get to know this better. At the same time you can test if the access to the web platform works and your firewall settings work.
Why is Cisco doing this?
Cisco wants to change the way people live, work, play and learn. This needs all of us. Most of all it needs young talents with fascination for technology and engagement to become the architects of the future.
In Networking Academy courses you build your basic knowledge. Competitions help you gain the necessary confidence in your abilities and knowledge and allow you to learn how to use them best. Speaking with IT experts and business leaders gives you the possibility to receive feedback and answer to your questions. It allows you to get to know your potential !
