CISCO CONNECT connects students to partners and gives an opportunity to find jobs

Cisco Connect event was held on September 29thand 30th in Almaty with a support of 18 Partners and 22 Mass Media outlets. Svetlana Anisimova, a General Manager of Cisco Kazakhstan mentioned the fast growing Networking Academy Program as a part of company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programs. Svetlana presented that around 60 academies are providing Cisco courses to students of key universities in Kazakhstan. Eleven thousand students were educated since the inception of the program, fifteen hundred of them Cisco certified.

Networking Academy Students were actively engaged in the preparation of the event and helped during the event to Cisco staff. They had an opportunity to meet with Cisco engineers, partners and sponsors of the exhibition, ask questions, get business cards and make connections. For their hard work, they were rewarded with a free participation and amazing backpacks.

Instructor Trainer Azamat Zhamanov, who is going to open an “IoE Lab in SDU” was able to meet with a guest speaker Caspar Herzberg, Vice President Services and get inspirational ideas.

During the event, it was also announced that on September 27th in the meeting in New York,  chief of “Astana Expo 2017” Akhmetzhan Esimov and Cisco’s Senior Vice President for Government Relations Michael Timmeny signed a MoU implying to the partnership in the development of IT strategy of the “Astana EXPO-2017”.  Michael Timmeny comments that it a very valuable opportunity to showcase the latest innovation technologies developed by Cisco R&D Centers around the globe.
